The Minister of Education and Training has enacted Decision No. 3231/QD-BGDĐT, dated November 21, 2025, concerning the five-year extension of the Center’s education quality accreditation period

Center for Education Accreditation – Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City (CEA-VNUHCM) is pleased to announce: The Minister of Education and Training has enacted Decision No. 3231/QD-BGDĐT, dated November 21, 2025, concerning the five-year extension of the Center’s education quality accreditation period, commencing on the date of its signing.

The continued extension of the accreditation period is a recognition by the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) of the Center’s relentless efforts for improvement, and concurrently affirms the Center’s critical role in contributing to enhancing the quality of higher education and developing the education quality assurance system in Vietnam.

This decision was made based on the positive results of evaluation conducted under Circular No. 13/2023/TT-BGDĐT dated June 26, 2023, which stipulates the supervision and evaluation of quality accreditation organizations for higher education and pedagogical colleges for the 2020-2025 period. In this evaluation, the CEA-VNUHCM has met 100% of the criteria and is ranked at Level 2, the best level according to the MOET’s evaluation scale. This outcome reflects the Center’s solid professional capacity, effective quality assurance system, and strict compliance with legal regulations throughout the assessment period.

According to the Decision, the scope of the Center’s education quality accreditation activities includes: Organizing the assessment and recognition of higher education institutions and pedagogical colleges, and of training programs across all levels of higher education (including training programs for specialized, characteristic disciplines) and the training program for the early childhood education major at the college level, meeting quality standards as required by the educational institution or competent organization; and issuing and withdrawing education quality accreditation certificates (excluding Vietnam National University – Ho Chi Minh City, and educational institutions and training programs under the management authority of Vietnam National University-Ho Chi Minh City).

In the new operational phase, the Center commits to maintaining objectivity, independence, and strict compliance with legal regulations in all activities; continuously enhancing the capacity of its expert team; strengthening the application of information technology; innovating evaluation methods and procedures to improve efficiency and transparency; and accompanying educational institutions in developing a quality culture.
